Deb Hadley is the founder of KT Humble Hearts and the heart behind its mission to bring hope, faith, and healing to those navigating grief. Deb’s life changed forever after the sudden loss of her two children. Her daughter, Kaylie, passed away on June 5, 2013, from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) at the age of 24. Just nine months and two days later, on March 7, 2014, her son Tyler, age 20, was tragically killed in a car accident along with three other young men. In the midst of unimaginable heartbreak, Deb found herself asking the same questions so many grieving people ask: How do you go on? Where do you find hope again?
Through her faith in Jesus and the support of others who walked beside her, Deb slowly began to rebuild her life. What she discovered along the way was that grief shared in safe and compassionate spaces can become a pathway to healing.
That journey eventually led Deb to serve in hospice spiritual care and bereavement support, where she walked alongside countless families facing loss. Through this work, she became certified in Death and Grief Studies through the Center for Loss and Life Transition and trained as a grief coach.
But God was not finished writing her story.
In 2024, Deb stepped out in faith to help lead KT Humble Hearts — a foundation built on the legacy of her children and the message Tyler once shared with their family:
Today, Deb dedicates her life to helping others find hope in the midst of heartbreak. Through grief support groups, faith-centered encouragement, speaking events, and community outreach, she walks beside those who are hurting and reminds them they are not alone.
Deb believes that while grief is a part of our story, it does not have to define the ending. Even in life’s deepest pain, God can bring purpose, healing, and hope.
“My promise is to continue Tyler and Kaylie’s legacy of love, making life better for others because God gave them to me.”
